Visual Letter Groupings is based on sorting lowercase letters by their attributes.
Short and round, tall like a tree… these cute phrases and assigned visuals help “anchor” the learning – plus they’re FUN!
This is an alphabet intervention resource that I have used successfully with my first grade students struggling with letter recognition.
These materials do not have to be used for intervention only – they are helpful for ALL early learners.
- Visual Charts – several printable formats
- Sorting Activities – multiple sorting card sets and headers; sort by attributes
- “I Spy” – 18 tasks to use with the letter cards and charts (answer key included)
This is a low-prep packet that can be used for whole group during Back to School and small intervention groups throughout the year. The sorting activities can also be added to word work literacy centers.
