Self care seems like a buzz word lately…
and for good reason!
I’m especially thankful that this trend has found it’s way into education conversations.

Today I want to talk to you about working out. I know, I know. You don’t have time. You are a super busy teacher with lessons to plan and papers to grade. Trust me, I get it.
I’ve been on my own health and fitness journey for a while, but really committed to building a morning routine that includes a 30 minute workout in the last couple months. I want to share with you an actual text message convo I had with my hubby last week.
Me: I seriously can’t take it. I’m about to cry out of frustration because they won’t stop talking!!!
HIm: Did you workout this morning?
Him: You were able to handle the stress better when you were working out in the morning.
When you take care of yourself, people notice! Self care is a good thing. And you are worth it.
So here is what I want you to do. This week, commit to waking up just 15 minutes earlier than normal. Here is a quick workout that you can do in your pajamas.
Each exercise is 30 seconds, go through the whole thing twice (10 minutes total):
- High knees
- Jumping jacks
- Good mornings
- Push ups
- Flutter kicks
