Sequencing Centers

This literacy center combines sequencing and fine motor with these fine motor tasks! There are 66 sets with Beginning, Middle, and End picture cards.

$3.50

Description

This fine motor center focuses on sequencing three events by putting picture cards in order.

This year I have been working with our occupational therapist during our Guided Reading block to support our first graders. I have learned so much about turning our literacy word work into developmentally appropriate activities! It has had a tremendously positive impact on my students' progress in both academics and fine motor, but don't tell them…they are too busy “playing!”

There are 66 different sets included, plus recording pages. I print the sets once and then divide them into several individual literacy centers. They fit perfectly in a small plastic bag or 4 x 6″ plastic photo case.

In this Sequencing Activities set, there are four options:
  • Hands-On Sequencing using velcro coins
  • Hands-On Sequencing using sorting mats
  • Cut and Paste Sequencing for writing
  • Pre-Printed Sequencing for writing

For extra fine motor focus, add velcro circle “coins” to each card. I added a blank sequencing card template (Beginning, Middle, End) for this option.

Directions are included to use these sequencing cards as a hands-on fine motor center OR a “work on writing” center.

I hope your students love them as much as mine do!
