Quiet Bins are individual fine motor task boxes with a storybook theme.
This Quiet Bin includes vocabulary, pictures, and story quotes from Alice in Wonderland
Quiet Bins can be used for:
- Morning Tubs – for a soft start to the school day
- Take-a-Break Boxes – use in a calming corner
- Indoor Recess – keep those creative minds and hands busy
I also like having fine motor task boxes prepped and ready for sensory breaks anytime we need one. They can easily be used as independent work tasks.
There are 75 task cards included in the Quiet Bin set. Print and use all of the cards in one bin, divide cards to create several bins, and or pick and choose tasks for specific students.
Quiet Bin Set-Up:
I recommend using a hole-punch for the task cards and storing them on a book ring. The cards can be tucked into a pencil box along with the manipulatives.
Quiet Bin Materials:
The fine motor tasks are based on common classroom manipulatives you may already have: cubes (Unifix or snap cube), math linking chains, pom poms, teddy bear counters, pattern blocks, mini-erasers, beads, and buttons.
Quiet Bin Tasks:
These tasks are for creative exploration and fine motor development.
