Self care seems like a buzz word lately…
and for good reason!
I’m especially thankful that this trend has found it’s way into education conversations.
This post welcome’s back my friend and fellow teacher Jessi from Ceiri-ous Goals!
I introduced her last month and she’s back with a second installment loaded with DO-ABLE tips!
I could share all my take-aways from her message, BUT I’d rather step aside and let her take over…
Did you miss me???? Well, the wait is over!
Your next installment in my blog takeover is here. 🙂
Today I want to talk to you about working out. I know, I know. You don’t have time. You are a super busy teacher with lessons to plan and papers to grade. Trust me, I get it.
I’ve been on my own health and fitness journey for a while, but really committed to building a morning routine that includes a 30 minute workout in the last couple months. I want to share with you an actual text message convo I had with my hubby last week.
Me: I seriously can’t take it. I’m about to cry out of frustration because they won’t stop talking!!!
HIm: Did you workout this morning?
Him: You were able to handle the stress better when you were working out in the morning.
When you take care of yourself, people notice! Self care is a good thing. And you are worth it.
So here is what I want you to do. This week, commit to waking up just 15 minutes earlier than normal. Here is a quick workout that you can do in your pajamas.
Each exercise is 30 seconds, go through the whole thing twice (10 minutes total):
- High knees
- Jumping jacks
- Good mornings
- Push ups
- Flutter kicks
Come back to this post in a day or two and comment below to let us know how you feel!
Ready for more of a challenge? My next online bootcamp starts March 5th! The package is $10 off until the end of February, so now is the time to sign up! Send me a message on FB or IG with your email address and I’ll send you more info.
I’m back! (Jen):
I’d love to hear how you’re going to incorporate these tips…whether at home or even during the school day!
I manage to sneak it in throughout the day PLUS my students get a healthy brain break (Win-Win). My tips and circuit exercises are all included in my easy-to-implement Healthy Teachers Exercise Breaks packet.
Have a fabulous week! #wecandothis
